The Third Coast is a feature film about a young college
student athlete, "RANDY LEBLANC", who finds himself
at a crossroads in his life.  No longer getting the excited
charge he once had from playing the game of football, he
sets out to be an entrepreneur in the entertainment world.

He meets "SHAWN DIXON" (Morris Chestnut) who owns
a club on the Southwest side of Houston.  Shawn's club
"CARTOONS" is doing okay, but Shawn has taken a loan
from a very nasty loan shark who is not happy with the
cash flow the club is bringing in.  Randy, being eager, is
given an opportunity to promote Cartoons.  He changes
the place into the hottest club in town.  Sounds simple...,

But now Randy has to tell his parents, mainly his dad,
"CLARENCE", (who is also his college football coach),
that sports will no longer be part of his personal destiny.
To further complicate matters, Randy has a cousin who
plays for the school and who gets an offer to transfer to
a Division One college.  It's bad enough that Clarence and
his brother competitively brag on their sons playing skills,
but now Clarence will be left with no bragging rights at all.

Shawn, on the other hand, figures he's hit the jackpot with
Randy, and sees an opportunity to pay his loan off early.
The Sharkster doesn't like that Shawn is getting out of
his debt so early and decides he "wants a piece" of the
club's new popularity and cash flow. Convinced now that
his son can do something besides play sports, Clarence
decides to help Shawn with his loan problems and so
help his son pursue his dreams.
